Hi and welcome to my website. I am Linda Gingerich owner and primary therapist at L.G. Psychotherapy. I am so happy you stoped in to have a look. It is difficult to navigate the world when you are struggling in with your mental health. I know this struggle all too well and I am here to guide you.
I provide individual therapy to adults using a range of evidenced based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also incorporate Mindfulness and Self-Compassion which helps us to stay in the present moment with acceptance, loving kindness and compassion for ourself. It also reminds us we are not alone in our struggles.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME, LINDA GINGERICH, AND HOW I GOT HERE.
I started working in the mental health sector 20+ years ago. I have worked in various capacities in community based mental health agencies as well as the developmental sector.
Through my years providing mental health treatment, I have gained a wealth of knowledge, skills and experiences to best support individuals struggling with a mental health issues.
I understand that therapy can be a very difficult process and it is hard work. Through this hard work, which I call the process of recovery, comes changes and reaching your goals for recovery!
As a registered psychotherapist, I understand that your struggles are personal, difficult, and that you feel alone. I understand it hard to reach out, together we can talk about what you are struggling with and set treatment goals for recovery. I bring to the table my expertise in treating mental health to provide you with practical skills in a safe space that allows for self-reflection, self-exploration, and personal growth.
I have a Bachelor Degree in Social Science. In addition to my degree, I bring my years of experience and on-going enrichment and trainings. I have also specialized in treating Perinatal Mental Health and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and my German Shepherd dog Eleanor. I also enjoy spending time in nature hiking, swimming and enjoying the tranquility of the bush.
SERVICES
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual Therapy for adults and teens (16 and up). Together, we work on identifying your struggles and treatment goals. Individual sessions are held virtually offering you greater flexibility, convenience and comfort. I also offer some in person appointments.
GROUP THERAPY
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-Lite. Lite refers to learning the core DBT skills. There are four modules in DBT which teaches the skills of mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. Each module is 4 weeks in duration. Group is 16 weeks.
** Please note groups are offered when there is a need and there are enough participants**
CONSULTATION AND SUPERVISION
I offer individual consultation and or supervision to health professionals regulated to provide psychotherapy. Please contact me to discuss your needs.
FEES AND PAYMENT
$120.00 for 50 minutes, due at the end of the session by e-transfer
Most employee benefit plans help cover the cost of psychological services
Psychological services are tax deductible
Payment is due at the end of each session by e-transfer and soon by credit card
24 hour cancellation policy, less than 24 hours notice and you will be billed the full amount
